BLUE CHRISTMAS - Dec. 1st @6:30pm in our lounge
We realize that Christmas is not "the most wonderful time of the year" for everyone. Holidays can be especially hard for people. We have an alternative service for those needing support and healing. Our Blue Christmas service will take place Thursday, December 1st, at 6:30pm in our lounge off the parish hall. Feel free to bring an ornament that represents a loved one who has passed to hang on our tree during the service.
CHRISTMAS SERVICE - Dec. 24th in person and also via Zoom
From 6:30pm-7pm, all our welcome to join us in signging Christmas Carols together. This is a casual time as we sing along until our our Christmas Eve Service begins at 7pm!
For those wishing to join via Zoom, the details remain the same:https://us02web.zoom.us/j/2732768959
Meeting ID: 273 276 8959
Santa’s workshop will be returning to St. Alban’s, Saturday, Nov. 19, 10am-3pm! If you have any gently used knickknacks, or any arts and crafts projects you would like to donate, please drop them off at the church. Remember the children are shopping for family and all items will be sold for 25 cents to $5. If you know of any teens looking for volunteer hours please tell them about this opportunity to earn up to hours for graduation.
STOCKINGS FOR SOLDIERS
Pick up a Christmas stocking in the Parish Hall. Fill the stocking with goodies and return it to church by November 23rd or to Gephart's by November 25th. This wonderful, annual ministry is sponsored by Gephart Funeral Home, who sends the filled Christmas stockings to soldiers overseas.
During the month of November, the Friendship Circle (with the help of the congregation and anyone who wants to help) is collecting hats, mittens or gloves, and scarves for those in need. (Each year we rotate between the Mission and the Bay Area Women’s Shelter.)
If you can help, please put your donations on or under the artificial “Christmas” tree in the Parish Hall. Items can be for men, women, teenagers, boys or girls.
No matter where you are in your journey of faith...whether you are a life-long Episcopalian or looking for a church home; whether you are visiting, exploring, curious, you are always welcome at St. Alban's Episcopal Church.
